Valley of the Kings Visitation Day
Valley of the Kings Sanctuary and Retreat
W7593 Townhall Road
Sharon, WI 53585-9728
Valley of the Kings Sanctuary and Retreat is home to 50 large cats and other animals. We invite you to browse our web site and introduce you to some of our animals so you may know their heartrending stories and find out what we're doing to help these wonderful creatures.
Visiting the Sanctuary is a privilege we extend to our members. To make your visit a happy experience for you, your family and for the animals, we must have rules. Failure to comply with these rules can result in loss of membership. Thank you for your cooperation. Read rules on website.
The mission of Valley of the Kings Sanctuary and Retreat is to provide a home for abused, abandoned, retired, and injured large felid's, exotic and domestic non-human animals.
We give the best available diet, housing, veterinary care and positive human interaction. Valley of the Kings educates the general public concerning the bond between human and non-human animals in the natural world.
We also teach that private and commercial ownership, hunting for profit or sport, and the destruction of natural habitat will mean eventual extinction for these creatures. Lastly, we teach that when we remove animals from the wild, we take their freedom and wildness, the essence of their being. Open Saturdays & Sundays through summer. e-mail: info@votk.org Phone: 262-736-9386

Low Cost Vaccinations & Microchipping
Adams Town Hall
1980 11th Ave
(Just North of the Adams County Humane Society)
Friendship, WI 53934
We will be offering the following vaccinations for dogs & cats
Rabies: $10
Distemper: $10
Kennel Cough (Bordatella): $10
Also offering Microchips: $25 (Including national registration)
What is a Microchip?
A microchip looks like a small piece of rice inserted just under the skin in the area between the shoulder blades. This will stay in the animal for the rest of their lives. If for some reason the animal has run away or is stolen this is a good proof of ownership. If the animal came in to a Humane Society or Vet office we scan them
for a chip and if we find one we can get a hold of the owner within minutes and reunite them with their owners.
Dogs & Cats can be given rabies vaccination as early as 3 months old. By law dogs must be given a rabies vaccination by the age of 5 months old. You do not have to be from Adams County to come to our Clinic. We welcome everyone. CASH ONLY.
All dogs must be on a leash. All cats must be in a crate. For more information call the Adams County Humane Society.Call 608-339-6700

Dane County Humane Society
Microchipping Clinic
Dane County Adoption Center West
7475 Mineral Point Road #42,
Madison, WI
Most of us never expect our beloved pets to be lost or stolen. We hope that leashes, fences, and doors will be enough to keep them safe at home. The reality is that accidents do happen, and when they do, many owners are unprepared. One step in protecting your pet is microchipping.
Protect your pet by bringing them to our next microchipping clinic at AC West.
The microchip is an effective form of permanent identification and a good way to protect your pet. It can be used in any kind of animal at any age and will last an animal's lifetime. The chip is slightly larger than a grain of rice and is inserted just under the skin. An anti-migration cap helps prevent movement within the pet's body.
Currently only 20% of all animals that enter DCHS are microchipped. If a chip is found, the shelter is able to contact the appopriate microchip registry to obtain owner information and hopefully quickly reunite the pet and owner.
Cost: $30 dogs, $15 cats.Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome. Please reserve your time slot by emailing Julie If you would like more information about our microchipping services, please call (608) 838-0413. DCHS is pleased to also offer microchipping services at the main shelter during all open hours!

Bob's House For Dogs - Pet Therapy Visit
Syverson Lutheran Assisted Living Home
816 Porter Avenue
Eau Claire, WI 54701-3880
Our pet therapy bring joy to all the residents and patients in facilities we visit. The joy the patients experience is immeasurable. Our volunteers are so committed to this program.
Along with therapy, our center provides one-on-one loving care, and adoptions in addition to the space and comfort of a home. All too many dogs are terrified and confused at shelters, which can make their chances of adoption almost zero. The seniors are especially stressed at finding themselves abandoned at this stage of their life. We hope that their time at Bob's House will alleviate some of their anxiety, and prepare them for their forever families. We house twelve dogs at a time, while hopefully having a steady rotation of animals, as adoptions take place. See how you can help this wonderful organization at http://www.bobshousefordogs.org/

Oshkosh Area Humane Society
& Shelter from the Storm Spay Neuter Transport
Oshkosh Humane Society
1925 Shelter Court
Oshkosh, WI 54901
The Oshkosh Area Humane Society is very excited about its partnership with Shelter from the Storm Animal Rescue, a Madison based non-profit offering low cost spay neuter surgeries. OAHS will be a drop-off location for people in the Oshkosh area utilizing the services of Shelter from the Storm. Shelter from the Storm comes to OAHS to pick up pets scheduled in advance for surgery on a specific day, takes them back to the Madison clinic, performs surgeries the next day and then brings pets back to OAHS to be returned to their owners.
This program benefits people and their pets and OAHS. For the owners, they will have a pet that is easier to train, less likely to roam and get into fights with other animals. The animals themselves will be less likely to develop certain kinds of cancer and live happier and healthier lives. The payoff for OAHS is fewer unwanted births resulting in fewer unwanted animals coming into OAHS and other shelters.
Persons wishing to take advantage of the low cost spay/neuter and transport service need to call ahead to set up an appointment at 920-424-2128 or email spaymeoahs@hotmail.com

Local Farmer's Market
Downtown Elkhart Lake, WI
Frankie, the Walk ‘N Roll Dog is a true, inspirational story about a dog whose life started out just like any other dog walking on all four paws until a spinal injury leaves her paralyzed. When Frankie is custom fit for a wheelchair she learns to keep on rolling. Her zest for life will have you cheering her on and give you hope that all things are possible.
Frankie’s stories touch the hearts of young and old as she teaches us how a challenge can become a stepping stone to something more meaningful. Frankie’s motto is: “Always be positive, make a difference, and keep on rolling!”

Typically these cats are semi-feral or have behavioral issues such as biting or marking that make them unsuitable as pets. Although these cats would not be suitable as indoor pets they deserve to live a long life.
We adopt our feral cats to owners who will provide food, water and shelter from inclement weather. In return, the cats will keep the rodent population under control by becoming 'mousers'.
